Charitable gambling in Ohio (e.g., bingo) is open to anyone over the age of 16. Ohio residents and visitors must be at least 21 years old to gamble on casino games, sports, and racinos. Pari-mutuel wagering at state horse tracks and lottery games are available for those 18 or older. State regulators are picking up the pace on expanding options for online gaming. Online casinos in Ohio and poker are not currently available in in the state.

Apps have been available in the state since January 1, 2023. Sports betting has been legalized in the state as of 2021 when the House of Representatives passed House Bill 29. In addition to these options, sweepstakes and social gambling are allowed. Daily fantasy sports betting is also legal in Ohio as of 2018. Horse racing and parimutuel betting have been legal in the state since 2000 after the Interstate Horse Racing Act of 1978 was amended to include wagers placed via electronic media. At the moment, there are some online gambling options available in Ohio.
